Luchd-labhairt òg na Gàidhlig a’ dèanamh bhidiothan airson luchd-ionnsachaidh

[Angela NicIlleathain – Preseantair] Tha òigridh a tha fileanta sa Ghàidhlig a' toirt cothrom do luchd-ionnsachaidh an cànan ionnsachadh le bhith a' clàradh dhealbhan-cluiche beaga a thèid a cleachdadh ann am bun-sgoiltean air feadh Alba. Tha an obair cuideachd a' toirt cothrom do na deugairean sgilean - an chuid air beulaibh agus air cùlaibh a' chamara - ionnsachadh. Tha an aithris sa aig Eilidh NicLeòid.

[Cleasaiche] Oh hello, madainn mhath. Is mise Lilidh agus is e seo an cafaidh ùr agam.

[Eilidh NicLeòid – Neach-aithris] dhe na caractaran a bhios a’ cuideachadh luchd-ionnsachaidh òg na Gàidhlig. Tha uair a thìde gu leth de dhràma anns a’ chafaidh gan clàradh ann an Steòrnabhagh an t-seachdain-sa. ‘S e Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig, a’ chompanaidh a tha a’ deasachadh stuth teasgaisg, th’ air cùl na h-obrach. Mar phàirt dhen phròiseact Go!Gaelic a thòisich bho chionn bliadhna.

[Eilidh NicLeòid – Neach-aithris] Tha na filmichean beaga a’ dèiligeadh ri 20 cuspair uile gu lèir agus thèid an sgaoileadh gu bun-sgoiltean anns na h-eileanan agus ann am mòran sgìrean eile air tìr-mòr.

[Dòmhnall Uilleam MacGille Mhoire] Diofar chuspairean a tha a’ togail air ’s dòcha sgoil, tachartasan, air biadh, nithean mar sin. Agus tha sinn a’ tarraing nan rudan a tha sin ri chèile mar aon chùrsa ach tha e leantannach. Tha iad a’ tòiseachadh le Gàidhlig, facal no dhà, ’s tha iad a’ togail air sin thairis air an 20 ionad gus am bi co-dhiù blas math aca agus raon math de dh’ fhaclan a ghabhas cleachdadh anns na diofar shuidheachaidhean anns am bi iad gam faighinn fhèin.

[Eilidh NicLeòid – Neach-aithris] Tha sianar sgoilearan a tha dìreach dol a-steach dhan t-siathamh bliadhna aig Àrd-sgoil ‘Ic Neacail, ag obair còmhla ri proifeiseantaich an t-seachdain seo. Triùir chleasaichean agus triùir aca ag ionnsachadh an taobh teicnigeach dhen obair.

[Ailig John] Tha mi-fhìn gu pearsanta, ’s dòcha gur e rudeigin a bhios mi ag iarraidh a dhèanamh a th’ ann agus tha e a’ toirt dhomh eòlas obrach. Tha eòlas obrach ga mo chuideachadh agus fhios agad, chì sinn, chì mi an e an rud a tha mi ag iarraidh a dhèanamh a th’ ann.

[Katie] Bha mi smaoineachadh gun deidhinn dhan t-Sabhal Mhòr airson Gàidhlig agus traditional music a dhèanamh. Ach bho thòisich mi seo bha mi ’s dòcha smaoineachadh gun dèanainn na meadhanan an àite sin.

Young Gaelic speakers make videos for learners

[Angela MacLean – Presenter] Young fluent Gaelic speakers are giving learners an opportunity to learn the language by filming little plays that will be used in primary schools across Scotland. Their work also gives the teenagers the opportunity to learn skills both in front of, and behind the camera. Eilidh MacLeod reports.

[Actress] Oh hello, good morning. I’m Lilidh and this is my new café.

[Eilidh MacLeod – Reporter] One of the characters who will be helping young Gaelic learners. Two and a half hours of drama in the café are being filmed in Stornoway this week. Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig, the company which produces teaching materials, is behind the work, which is part of the Go!Gaelic project which began a year ago.

[Eilidh MacLeod – Reporter] The short films deal with 20 subjects in total and they will be distributed to primary schools in the islands and in many other areas on the mainland.

[Donald William Morrison] Different subjects which are dealt with include school perhaps, events, food, things like that. And we pull all of these things together to form one course which is continuous. They begin with a word or two of Gaelic, they then build on that over the 20 units until they at least have a good grasp of the language and a wide range of words which can be used in the many different situations they may find themselves in.

[Eilidh MacLeod – Reporter] Six pupils just entering 6th year at The Nicolson Institute are working with the professionals this week. Three actors and three who are learning the technical side of the job.

[Alex John] For me personally, this could be something I want to do and it gives me work experience. Work experience helps me and you know, we’ll see, I’ll see if it’s something I want to do.

[Katie] I was thinking of going to Sabhal Mòr to do Gaelic and traditional music. But since I began here I’ve been thinking that I might now do media instead.

[Eilidh MacLeod- Reporter] Eilidh MacLeod, BBC An Là.
