Gèam le buill ghoilf

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Shona] Tha seann bhuill goilf agam ann a sheo. Tha mi a’ dol a thòiseachadh dìreach le pàipear-gainmhich ’s tha mi a’ dol a sgrìobadh air feadh na buill.

[Shona] So, tha mi deiseil a-nist leis a’ phàipear-ghainmhich ’s tha mi a’ dol gam peantadh. Agus tha film clingeach agam ann a sheo ’s cuiridh mi na buill air a sin nuair a tha mi air am peantadh. ’S tha mi a’ dol a thòiseachadh le dearg, dìreach pìos bheag, agus ’s e dìreach peant acrylic a tha seo.

[Shona] Nist agus bidh feum agaibh ’s dòcha còmhdachadh no dhà no fiù ’s trì a chur air dìreach gus nach fhaic sibh an sgrìobhadh no an geal tron dath mar sin tha mi a’ dol ga pheantadh. ’S tha an clingfilm uabhasach handy, tha mi a’ dol ga chur sìos agus an taobh eile a dhèanamh shìos an sin.

[Shona] Tha bogsa ùighean feumail airson nam buill a chumail gun ghluasad fhad ’s a tha thu gam peantadh agus an stòradh nuair a tha iad deiseil.

[Shona] Sin a-nist, a’ chiad chòmhdachadh agus tha mi a’ dol a chumail orm a’ dèanamh an aon àireamh de gorm ’s an aon àireamh de dhearg airson ’s gum bi dathan co-ionnan. Tha mise a’ dol a chur dotagan air an fhear seo ann an geal. Tha mi dol ga chòmhdachadh air fad le na dotagan ’s an uair sin fàgaidh mi sin dìreach greiseag bheag, chan fheum e fada, ’s an uair sin tioramachadh ’s an uair sin thèid mi thairis air na dotagan a-rithist ann an geal dìreach airson ’s gun seas iad a-mach mar a tha mi ag iarraidh.

[Shona] OK ma-thà, tha mi deiseil le na dotagan agus tha mi a’ dol a dhèanamh am fear eile. Mar sin air a’ bhall ghorm, tha mi a’ dol a chleachdadh teip airson ’s gum bi loidhne dìreach agam anns a’ mheadhan. Seo a-nist, tha mi dìreach dol ga chur mun cuairt.

[Shona] Seo ma-thà, tha mi a’ dol a dhèanamh dìreach geal an toiseach airson ’s gun seas a’ bhuidhe a-mach mar a tha mi ag iarraidh. Agus cha toir e fada tiormachadh a-nist na pàtaranan agus an uair sin cuiridh mi còmhdachadh no dhà dhen bhuidhe air air muin an seo agus tha sin a tioramachadh a-nist airson greiseag bheag.

[Shona] So tha mi cuideachd a’ dol a dhèanamh cearcall air gach taobh nuair a tha an striop anns a’ mheadhan tioram. Tha mi dol ga fhàgail a-nist airson beagan mhionaidean.

[Shona] Tha mi a’ cur crìoch air na pàtrain air na buill air fad, spotan air an fheadhainn dhearg, striopan buidhe air an fheadhainn ghorm.

[Shona] Mar a chì sibh a-nist, tha còig de gach dath agam ann a sheo agus tha mi a’ dol a chur crìoch orra le beagan gleans agus bhàirnis a chleachdadh. Dèan cinnteach gun dèan sibh seo ann an seòmar anns a bheil adhar gu leòr no a dh’fhaodadh sibh gaothachadh airson a bhith cinnteach nach bi cus peant mun cuairt anns an adhar. ’S tha mise a’ dol a chleachdadh masg cuideachd.

[Shona] Seo a-nist, tha iad a’ coimhead glè mhath nach eil! ’S chì sibh na striopan air an fheadhainn sin agus na dotagan air iad sin agus tha mise smaoineachadh gum biodh iad glè mhath airson ’s dòcha geama a chluich ’s a’ ghàrradh, sealg a choireigin a dhèanamh no geama sam bith eile, dh’fhaodadh sibh geama a chruthachadh fiù ’s.

A game with golf balls

English Beurla

[Shona] I have old golf balls here. I’m going to start just with sandpaper and I’m going to scratch all over the balls.

[Shona] So, I’m ready now with the sandpaper and I’m going to paint them. And I have clingfilm here and I’ll put the balls on that when I’ve painted them. And I’m going to start with red, just a little bit, and this is just acrylic paint.

[Shona] Now and we’ll maybe need to put a coat or two or even three on just so that you don’t see the writing or the white for the colour so I’m going to paint it. And the clingfilm is very handy, I’m going to put it down and do the other side down there.

[Shona] A box of eggs is useful to keep the balls from moving while you paint them and to store them when they are ready.

[Shona] That now, the first layer and I’m going to keep on doing the same number of blue and the same number of red so that the colours will be even. I’m going to put dots on this one in white. I’m going to cover it all with dots and then I’ll leave it just a little while it won’t need long and then drying and then I’ll go over the dots again in white just so that they stand out like I want.

[Shona] Ok then, I’m finished with the dots and I’m going to do the other one. So, on the blue ball, I’m going to use tape so that I have a straight line in the middle. So now, I’m just going to put it around.

[Shona] So then, I’m going to make it just white first so that the yellow stands out like I want. And it won’t take long drying the patterns now and then I’ll put a layer or two of yellow on top of this and that’s drying now for a little while. So, I’m also going to make a circle on each side when the stripe in the middle is dry. I’m going to leave it now for a few minutes.

[Shona] I’m finishing the patterns on all the balls, spots on the red ones, yellow stripes on the blue ones.

[Shona] As you can see now, I have five of each colour here and I’m going to finish them with using a little bit of polish and varnish.

[Shona] Make sure that you do this in a room where there is enough air or that you could air out to be sure that there isn’t too much paint around in the air. And I’m going to use a mask too.

[Shona] Here we go, they are looking very good aren’t they! And you’ll see stripes on those noes and the dots on those and I think that they would be very good for maybe playing a game in the garden, doing some kind of hunt or any other game, you could even create a game.
