Taisbeanadh Lego an Inbhir Nis

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Anne Lundon – Preseantair] Nise tha taisbeanadh sònraichte air fosgladh ann an Inbhir Nis aig am bi ùidh aig feadhainn òg - agus 's dòcha feadhainn nach eil cho òg. Tha "Brick Wonders" aig Taigh-Tasgaidh Inbhir Nis a' sealltainn thoglaichean agus àiteachan agus seallaidhean iongantach bho air feadh an t-saoghail, uile air a thogail le Lego. Tha tuilleadh aig Seonaidh MacCoinnich.

[Seonaidh MacCoinnich – Neach-aithris] Chan ann tric a bhios cothrom ann Balla Mòr Shìona, Drochaid Lunnainn agus Pioramaid Mòr Ghiza uile fhaicinn aig an aon àm. Ach airson mìos, tha iad uile aig taigh-tasgaidh Inbhir Nis, ann an Lego. Còmhla ri Stonehenge, Taigh Solais Alexandra, Gàrraidhean Bhabylon agus fiù ‘s model T ford chaidh an cur ri chèile le Warren Elsmore a thug iomadh mìos gu na structairean a dhèanamh. Airson am port-adhar fhèin a dhèanamh, chleachd e còrr is 180,000 pìos. Ach le toys eileagtronaigeach an-diugh, bheil ùidh aig clann ann an Lego?

[Cathy Shankland] I think everybody is fascinated with Lego. So many older people have been coming in to the exhibition too who have really, really been impressed by the things they’ve seen there and they still have an interest in Lego. I think they say a lot of architects start out creating things in Lego and go on to become prize winning architects. So I think Lego is not just for children, it’s for everybody.

[Seonaidh MacCoinnich – Neach-aithris] Aig Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis tha iad air club Lego a thòiseachadh am-bliadhna airson clann-sgoile a chuideachadh, an chuid a thaobh na Gàidhlig agus nan sgilean sòisealta aca.

[Anne Marie NicGhriogair] 88779 sinn a’ smaointinn gum biodh e math dhan chloinn sgilean a dhèanamh nuair a bha àm òir aca. Anns a’ chluba sin feumaidh iad a bhith ann an dithisean. Bidh aon sgoilear a’ leughadh a-mach an stiùiridh, ann an Gàidhlig agus bidh an sgoilear eile an uair sin a’ togail rudeigin a-mach às an Lego a’ cleachdadh an stiùiridh so bha sinn a’ smaointinn gum biodh e math dhan Ghàidhlig aca.

[Seonaidh MacCoinnich – Neach-aithris] Agus ciamar a tha a’ chlann fhèin a’ faireachdainn mu dheidhinn?

[Pàiste 1] Tha Lego math air sgàth tha thu a’ togail rudan agus tha thu cleachdadh do mhac-meanmna.

[Pàiste 2] Is toil leam Lego air sgàth tha tòrr diofar dathan ann agus faodaidh tu dèanamh rud sam bith a tha thu ag iarraidh.

[Pàiste 3] Fhathast tha mi smaoineachadh gu bheil Lego City math ach ‘s toil leam Lego Technic nas fheàrr.

[Seonaidh MacCoinnich – Neach-aithris] A bharrachd air an taisbeanadh proifeasanta, tha rud no dhà ann a rinn clann ann an sgoiltean na Gàidhealtachd, a’ sealltainn Loch Nis, an taigh-solais aig Noss agus Pàirce Chaledonian Thistle. Ach chan eil mi uabhasach cinnteach cho fìor ‘s a tha luchd-amhairc Caley Thistle, gu h-àraidh son a’ mhanaidsear. Seonaidh MacCoinnich, BBC An Là, Inbhir Nis.

Lego Exhibition in Inverness

English Beurla

[Anne Lundon – Presenter] Now, a special exhibition has opened in Inverness which young people will be interested in – and perhaps the not so young as well. “Brick Wonders” at Inverness Museum showcases buildings, places and wonderful sights from around the world, all built with Lego. Seonaidh MacKenzie has more.

[Seonaidh MacKenzie – Reporter] It’s not often you get the chance to see the Great Wall of China, London Bridge and the Great Pyramid of Giza at the same time. But for a month, they are all at Inverness Museum, in Lego form. Along with Stonehenge, the Lighthouse of Alexandra, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and even a model T Ford, they were all created by Warren Elsmore, who took many months to build the structures. In order to make the airport, he used over 180,000 pieces. But with modern day electronic toys, are children interested in Lego?

[Cathy Shankland] I think everybody is fascinated with Lego. So many older people have been coming in to the exhibition too who have really, really been impressed by the things they’ve seen there and they still have an interest in Lego. I think they say a lot of architects start out creating things in Lego and go on to be prize winning architects. So I think Lego is not just for children, it’s for everybody.

[Seonaidh MacKenzie – Reporter] At Inverness Gaelic School, a Lego club was started this year to help children with both their Gaelic and their social skills.

[Anne Marie MacGregor] We thought it would be good for the children to develop some skills in golden time. In that club they need to work in pairs. One pupil reads out the instructions, in Gaelic, and the other then builds something out of Lego using these instructions. We therefore thought that it would be good for their Gaelic.

[Seonaidh MacKenzie – Reporter] And how do the children themselves feel about it?

[Child 1] Lego is good because you are building things and using your imagination.

[Child 2] I like Lego because it comes in lots of different colours and you can create anything you want out of it.

[Child 3] I still think Lego city is good but I like Lego Technic better.

[Seonaidh MacKenzie – Reporter] As well as the professional exhibition, it will also feature one or two creations by Highland primary schools, exhibiting Loch Ness, Noss Head Lighthouse and Caledonian Thistle’s stadium. But I’m not so sure how realistic the Caley Thistle supporters are, in particular the manager. Seonaidh MacKenzie, BBC An Là, Inverness.
