Fèis Dràma Earra-Ghàidheal

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Anne Lundon - Preseantair] Bha ceithir dealbhan-cluiche ann an Gàidhlig ri fhaicinn aig Fèis Dràma Earra-Ghàidheil bho thrì dhiofar Bhun-sgoiltean. B’ e seo an 10mh fèis san sgìre - thàinig sgoilearan à Muile, Dùn Omhain agus às an Òban fhèin thuice. Chaidh Andreas Wolff ann dhuinne.

[Andreas Wolff – Neach-aithris] Bha na sgoilearan seo bho Bhun-sgoil Thaigh a’ Chladaich ann an Dùn Omhain am measg an fheadhainn a ghabh pàirt ann am Fèis Dràma Earra-Ghàidheil. Chaidh a cur air dòigh airson an 10mh turas.

[Debbie NicAoidh] Tha piseach mòr a’ tighinn air na sgilean cànain aca tro dhràma. Gheibh iad an cothrom, gheibh iad an cothrom cluiche nuair a tha iad a’ dèanamh dràma. Gheibh iad an cothrom cluiche leis a’ chànan agus cluiche, dìreach air mar a dhèiligeadh iad fhèin le suidheachaidhean eadar-dhealaichte.

[Andreas Wolff – Neach-aithris] Bha sgeulachd mu dhraoidheachd aig Bun-sgoil Achadh na Creige anns an Òban.

[Bethan] Bha beagan de dh’obair ann ach cha robh tòrr obrach.

[Andreas Wolff – Neach-aithris] Agus an robh e spòrsail?

[Bethan] Bha e uabhasach spòrsail.

[Andreas Wolff – Neach-aithris] Agus seo sgoilearan bho Bhun-sgoil an t-Sàilein ann am Muile.

[Clare Jordan] Bha feum againn air tòrr obrach a dhèanamh air, na guthan aca, air a chur a-mach chun an luchd-èisteachd is eile. Agus an uair sin bha na pàrantan gar cuideachadh leis na props is an aodach a bh’ againn.

[Andreas Wolff – Neach-aithris] Agus shaoileadh gu bheil draoidheachd ceangailte ris an lasair Oilimpigeach cuideachd. Tha cothrom ann dhaibhsan a tha airson na sgilean dràma a thoirt air adhart barrachd.

[Aonghas MacLeòid] Tha cothrom ann do dhaoine nas sine, do dh’ òigridh can aig aois, uill deugairean eadar 14 bliadhna a dh’ aois agus 18 bliadhna a dh’ aois, pàirt a ghabhail anns an sgoil shamhraidh dhràma againn a tha a’ gabhail àite ann am Port Rìgh.

Argyll Drama Festival

English Beurla

[Anne Lundon – Presenter] There were four Gaelic plays to be seen at the Argyll Drama Festival from three different primary schools. This was the 10th festival in the area – school pupils came from Mull, Dunoon and Oban to take part. Andreas Wolff went there for us.

[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] These pupils from Sandbank Primary School in Dunoon were among those who took part in the Argyll Drama Festival. This was 10th time the festival has been held.

[Debbie MacKay] Their language skills have improved greatly through drama. They get the chance to, the chance to play, when they are doing drama. They get the opportunity to play with the language and the play with, just how they themselves would deal with different situations.

[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] Rockfield Primary School in Oban had a story about magic.

[Bethan] There was a little work involved but not a lot.

[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] And was it fun?

[Bethan] It was really fun.

[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] And here are pupils from Salen Primary School in Mull.

[Clare Jordan] We had to put a lot of work into it, on their voices, on their delivery to the audience and other things. And then we had parents helping us with props and costumes.

[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] And who would have thought that magic could be associated with the Olympic torch as well. There’s an opportunity for those who wish to further advance their drama skills.

[Angus MacLeod] There’s a chance for the older ones, for young people at age say, well teenagers between 14-18 years of age, to take part in our summer drama school which is being held in Portree.

[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] Andreas Wolff, BBC An Là, on planet Oban.
