Dleastanas a’ chofaidh ’s na teatha

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Preseantair] A bharrachd air obair acadaimigeach an t-seminary agus a’ searmonachadh chaidh dleastanas ùr a bhuileachadh air Iain.

[Iain] An t-seachdain-sa chaidh bha taghadh ann airsoncommittee structure ùr dha na h-oileanaich anns a’ cholaiste so nise tha mise air a’ chatering committee. Bidh mo bhean a’ gaireachdainn an-dràsta ach feumaidh mi a dhol a dh’fhaicinn a bheil an urn air airson cofaidh air meadhan-latha ’s teatha.

[Iain] Job done. Tha a h-uile càil air, tha. Tha e blàth gu leòr.

[Iain] ’S ann airson bliadhna a tha sinn ag obair mar seo. Feumaidh sinn a bhith a’ cuimhneachadh ceannach cofaidh ’s teatha ’s siùcar ’s bainne so tha tòrr agam ri chuimhneachadh son bodach mar mi fhìn.

[Preseantair] Mus faigh duine an cofaidh ge-tà, beagan ionnsachaidh mun t-Seann Tiomnadh.

[Preseantair] Tha an t-àm ann dha na h-oileanaich fois a ghabhail ron ath-chlas ’s iad a’ coimhead air adhart ri balgam teatha no cofaidh. Ach, chan eil Iain air cuimhneachadh air a h-uile càil.

[Iain] Is there coffee there?

[Duine] No coffee? It’ll be good to get the milk in.

[Iain] Okay.

[Duine] Is that switched on?

[Iain] What? The urn?

[Duine] Because I told Colin.

[Iain] Yeah. It was on.

[Iain] Cha robh bainne againn. Cha robh cofaidh againn. A-nise tha i blàth. Chan eil i ro bhlàth so disaster all round.

[Dàibhidh] I didn’t have any teaspoons for my sugar.

[Pòl] No coffee.

[Dàibhidh] No coffee.

[Pòl] So, I think he has a bit of work to do.

[Dàibhidh] I’ve given him about four out of ten so far.

[Duine] Give him time.

[Dàibhidh] The only reason he was nominated there is because we were worried what he might do in the theological committee so we decided to put him on lunch committee. We thought it was genuinely more safer but it turns out there’s more to damage there.

Chaidh am prògram seo, Balaich a' Bhìobaill, a chraoladh an toiseach ann an 2015.

Tea and coffee duty

English Beurla

[Presenter] As well as the academic work of the seminary and preaching Iain has been given a new responsibility.

[Iain] Last week there was a vote for a new committee structure for the students in the college so now I am on the catering committee. My wife will be laughing just now but I must go and see if the urn is on for coffee and tea at midday.

[Iain] Job done. Everything is on, yes. It is warm enough.

[Iain] We are working like this for a year. We must remember to buy coffee and tea and sugar and milk so I have a lot to remember for an old man like myself.

[Presenter] Before anyone gets their coffee though, a little learning about the Old Testament.

[Presenter] It is time for the students to rest before the next class and they are looking forward to a mouthful of tea or coffee. But, Iain has not remembered everything.

[Iain] Is there coffee there?

[Man] No coffee? It’ll be good to get the milk in.

[Iain] Okay.

[Man] Is that switched on?

[Iain] What? The urn?

[Man] Because I told Colin.

[Iain] Yeah. It was on.

[Iain] We did not have milk. We did not have coffee. Now it is warm. It is not too warm so a disaster all round.

[David] I didn’t have any teaspoons for my sugar.

[Paul] No coffee.

[David] No coffee.

[Paul] So, I think he has a bit of work to do.

[David] I’ve given him about four out of ten so far.
