Tha na h-uain a’ toirt toileachas do Mhàiri

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Mairi] Halò is mise Mairi NicIllinnein à Griais ann an Eilean Leòdhais agus tha mi air a bhith air ais aig an taigh greis a-nis às dèidh a’ tighinn à Glaschu air sgàth a’ bhìorais.

[Mairi] Tha mo bhràthair a’ cluich a’ bhucas... background music ’s dòch’? Aidh.

[Mairi] Ged nach robh iarraidh sam bith agam falbh à Glaschu an toiseach, tha mi taingeil gur ann an-dràst’ a thàinig mi dhachaigh air sgàth gu bheil na h-uain air am breith agus feumaidh mi ràdh gu bheil e a’ toirt tòrr toileachais gu bhith gan coimhead air an lot a’ ruith timcheall.

[Mairi] Bha mise keen air a bhith ag obair am measg beathaichean a-riamh.

[Mairi] Tha caoraich air a bhith aig Dad bho bha sinne gu math òg agus tha mi toilichte a-nis gu bheil mi aig an taigh agus gun urrainn dhomh a bhith an sàs ann – rud nach eil mi air a bhith airson crowd bliadhnaichean air sgàth gu bheil mi air a bhith a’ fuireach air falbh.

[Mairi] Bha dhà no thrì uain againn ’s a mhadainn agus feumaidh sinn a’ dol a chur peant orra agus faicinn ciamar a tha dol dhuibh.

[Mairi] Tha sinn dol gan gluasad faisg air an taigh gun urrainn dhuinn a’ cumail sùil orra.

The lambs are bringing Mairi joy

English Beurla

[Màiri] Hello I’m Màiri MacLennan from Gress in the Isle of Lewis and I’ve been back at the house for a while now after coming back from Glasgow because of the virus.

[Màiri] My brother is playing the box... background music maybe? Aye.

[Màiri] Although I didn’t want to leave Glasgow at the start, I’m thankful that it’s now that I came back home because the lambs have been born and I must say that it brings a lot of joy to watch them running around.

[Màiri] I was always keen on working with animals.

[Màiri] My Dad has had sheep since we were very young and I’m happy now that I’m at the house and I can be involved – something I haven’t been for many years because I’ve been living away.

[Màiri] We had two or three lambs this morning and we need to go to put paint on them and see how they’re getting on.

[Màiri] We’re going to move them close to the house so that we can keep an eye on them.
