Pròiseact airson Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Alasdair Friseal - Preseantair] Tha pròiseact ùr air tòiseachadh air taobh siar Leòdhais a tha ag amas air beachdan òigridh a ghabhail a-steach air obair urrais na sgìre. Chaidh “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” a chur air dòigh eadar Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn agus sgeama òigridh na comhairle “Include-Us”. Tha gu deireadh na mìos aig daoine òga dealbhan de rudan a tha iad am beachd a bhiodh math, dona no grànda a chur chun an urrais agus thèid an uair sin beachdachadh air atharrachaidhean anns an sgìre.

[Dòmhnall MacSuain] Chan eil an competition seo, chan ann mu dheidhinn cho math ‘s a tha an dealbh agad idir. Chan e rud artistic a th’ ann, ach dìreach a’ feuchainn ri rudan a chomharrachadh. ‘S e an smuain a th’air a chùlaibh gu bheil òigridh ‘s dòcha a’ faicinn rudan nach eil inbhich. ‘S dòcha gu bheil mise a’ dol seachad air rudeigin a h-uile air an oighreachd is nach eil mi mothachail dha, no gu bheil mi ga fhaicinn ‘s nach eil mi a’ smaoineachadh mu dheidhinn, tha mi dìreach ga fhàgail, ach ‘s dòcha gu bheil… agus tha sinn an dòchas gu bheil òigridh a’ faicinn rudan nach eil inbhich agus gun toir seo cothrom dhaibh rudeigin a dhèanamh mu dheidhinn nan rudan a tha sin.

A project for the Galson Estate Trust

English Beurla

[Alasdair Fraser - Presenter] A new project has started on the west side of Lewis that aims to take young people’s ideas on the area’s trust work. “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” has been set up by the Galson Estate Trust and the council’s youth scheme “Include-Us”. Young people have until the end of the month to send in pictures of things that they think are good, bad, or ugly to the trust and then decisions will be made about the area.

[Donald MacSween] This is not a competition, it is not about how good your picture is at all! It’s not an artistic thing, but just trying to identify things. The thought behind it is that maybe young people might see things that adults don’t. Maybe I go by something everyday on the estate and I don’t notice it, I see it and I don’t think about it, I just leave it, but maybe there is… and we hope that the young people are seeing things that the adults don’t and this will give them a chance to do something about those things.
