Goireasan ùra airson saidheans tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Innes Rothach - Preseantair] Chaidh goireasan ùra airson a bhith a’ teagaisg saidheans tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig fhoillseachadh leis a’ bhuidhinn Stòrlann an-diugh. Le luchd-teagaisg agus clann-sgoile a’ cruinneachadh ann an Ionad Saidheans Ghlaschu airson na stuthan-teagaisg fhaicinn dhaibh fhèin. Chaidh na leabhraichean, postairean agus goireasan air-loidhne an dealbhachadh airson sgoilearan air prìomh a seachd anns a’ bhun-sgoil agus cuideachd airson a’ chiad agus an dàrna bliadhna anns an àrd-sgoil. Bha Caitriana Deeprose aig an fhoillseachadh.

[Caitriana Deeprose – Neach-aithris] a-mach às an sgoil airson sgoilearan Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu. Chaidh goireasan ùra airson saidheans fhoillseachadh le Stòrlann airson clann-sgoile air prìomh a seachd ‘s air a’ chiad ‘s an dàrna bliadhna san àrd-sgoil. Rud air an do chuir tidsearan fàilte.

[Murchadh Peutan] Uill, tha mise a’ smaoineachadh gur e goireas math dha-rìribh a th’ ann. Nuair a thòisich mise a’ teagaisg saidheans an tòiseach tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig, bha agam ri na stuthan agam fhìn a chruthachadh agus tha seo fìor mhath agus tha e fìor mhath, saoilidh mise ann an iomadach dòigh. Chan e a-mhàin gu bheil e saidheans math agus ceart. Ach tha a’ Ghàidhlig sìmplidh, tha e soirbh a thuigsinn agus tha mise a’ smaoineachadh gum bi tidsearan agus sgoilearan a’ dèanamh tòrr feum dhe na goireasan seo.

[Caitriana Deeprose – Neach-aithris] Tha leabhraichean, postairean is stuth air-loidhne ri fhaotainn, is chòrd iad ris na sgoilearan a bha an-làthair.

[Balach] A-nis, tha seo againne agus bidh e nas fhasa airson a’ teagaisg saidheans anns a’ Ghàidhlig.

[Nighean] Tha e a’ coimhead uabhasach math, tha e a’ coimhead inntinneach agus uabhasach spòrsail.

[Caitriana Deeprose – Neach-aithris] Tha Stòrlann air a bhith ag obair air na goireasan seo fad bhliadhna is thug e ùine beachdachadh air briathrachas a bhiodh iomchaidh.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan] Feumaidh tu a bhith gu math faicilleach gu bheil am briathrachas ceart agus tha pannal an-dèidh a bhith ag obair dha Stòrlann air briathrachas, briathrachas saidheans agus tha sin uabhasach fhèin iomchaidh airson tha e a’ ciallachadh gu bheil am briathrachas gu ìre air aontachadh agus bidh cunbhalachd an uair sin eadar a’ bhriathrachas a tha thairis air na stuthan gu lèir agus ‘s e sin far a bheil an cùram as motha, dìreach gu bheil am briathrachas ceart.

New resoures for science through the medium of Gaelic

English Beurla

[Innes Munro - Presenter] New resources for teaching science through the medium of Gaelic were launched today by the group Stòrlann. With teachers and schoolchildren gathering at the Glasgow Science Centre to see the teaching materials for themselves. The books, posters and online resources have been designed for pupils in Primary 7 and First and Second Year of Secondary School. Caitriana Deeprose was at the launch.

[Caitriana Deeprose – Reporter] A day off school for pupils at Glasgow Gaelic School. The new resources for science were published by Stòrlann for schoolchildren in Primary 7 and First and Second Year of Secondary School. Something that was welcomed by teachers.

[Murdo Beaton] Well, I think it is a really good resource. When I first started teaching Science through the medium of Gaelic, I had to create my own material and this is really good and it is really good, I think, in many ways. Not only is the science good and correct. But the Gaelic is simple, it is easy to understand and I think that teachers and pupils will make great use of these resources.

[Caitriana Deeprose – Reporter] Books, posters and online material are all available and they were enjoyed by the pupils who were present.

[Boy] Now, we have this and it’ll be easier to teach Science in Gaelic.

[Girl] It looks awfully good, it looks interesting and great fun.

[Caitriana Deeprose – Reporter] Stòrlann have been working on these resources over two years and it took a long time deciding on vocabulary that would be appropriate.

[Donald Morrison] You have to be really careful that the vocabulary is correct and the panel that have been working for Stòrlann on vocabulary, Science vocabulary, and that is really appropriate as it means that the vocabulary has, to a level, been agreed and there will be consistency then between the vocabulary that is used over all the material and that is where the greatest care has been taken, to ensure that the vocabulary is correct.
